Tapeworm Cardiovascular System:
The phylum Platyhelminthes also include tapeworms which are also known as Cestoda. They are a class of parasitic flatworms, biologists refer to them as cestodes. Tapeworms live in digestive tracts of vertabrates as adults, and often live in the bodies of other species of animals as young adults. Tapeworms are bilaterally symmetrical and lack a cardiovascular system, they also lack an organ specialized for gas exchange. Just like the Planarian, Tapeworms use diffusion to transport necessary body nutrients and more. |
